The Bomonti and Kurtuluş route invites you to explore the multi-layered cultural heritage hidden in the daily life of the city beyond the known centers of Istanbul. From Bomonti, once shaped by industrial production, to the multicultural neighborhood fabric of Kurtuluş, known as Tatavla during the Ottoman period, this walk makes it possible to read the social, cultural and architectural memory of Istanbul through the streets through the traces of educational institutions and neighborhood tradesmen. The traces left by the Greek, Armenian and Levantine communities, combined with neighborhood life and urban memory, form the basic narrative of this route.
