Write a biography outline that tells your guests why you are the ideal Host for this Experience, highlighting your relevant qualities, passions, milestones and/or unique talents.

Born in 1967 in Grenoble, France, I am an expert in food, wine and spirits with many years of experience and numerous awards. My journey began with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, followed by an MBA from Hacettepe University. With my passion for gastronomy, I made the transition from engineering to the culinary world and in 1997 I founded Keyifshop, Turkey’s first specialty liquor and tobacco store. Until 2010, this venture was an indispensable hub for those interested in wine, coffee, whisky, cigars and gourmet foods.

In the UK, I deepened my knowledge with advanced courses at the Wine and Spirit Education Trust and the Beer Academy. My academic journey culminated in a Master’s in Gastronomy at Le Cordon Bleu and the University of Reims, where I studied topics ranging from molecular gastronomy to the cultural and economic impact of food. My thesis on the journey of wine in Anatolia reflects my commitment to regional culinary traditions.

For my contribution to the whisky industry, I was honored with the title of “Keeper of the Quaich” in Scotland in 2022 and I am also a Knight of Saint-Emilion Wine in France. My interest in cheese led me to study in London and Normandy, specializing in production techniques and the harmonious pairing of cheese with wine, beer and whisky.

I continue to share my knowledge on various platforms, offering trainings, tastings and consultancy services. I reach a wider audience by writing columns in publications such as Oxygen. I have received medals from the French and Chilean governments for my contribution to the gastronomic arts.
